Light as a Feather

Yesterday was the first day of spring!  As the weather warms up and the sun shines later, I get excited for a change in wardrobe.  Mainly, to be able to throw on dresses and skirts without tights and sweaters.  One of my favorite combinations is a shirt dress and ballet flats.  Shirt dresses are such a simple and versatile piece.  They can be worn for work or play and can be dressed up or down.  I love this silk feather printed dress from Tucker.  It puts a fun and feminine twist on the classic shirt dress.  Perfect for a sunny spring day!

Maui Love

After growing up in a place like Maui, it would be impossible for me not to love my island roots.  When the very talented (and fellow Maui girl) Tiffany Chou came out with her Maui Love tank, it was a must purchase!  I am a big fan of the sentiment, but I am also obsessed with the tiny black and white stripe and bright pink script.  It is such a cute tank and can be styled in many ways.  At the beach I would throw it on over a bathing suit and maxi skirt.  For a day in the city, I paired with boyfriend jeans, strappy heels, and a blazer.  I was so excited when Tiffany told me she has new limited edition releases in the works!  Check out the new and super cute grey version here.

A Trip to Palm Springs

Over the weekend we headed to the dessert oasis of Palm Springs to watch tennis at Indian Wells and enjoy some time in the warm sun.  I made sure to pack a hat for hours of sitting in the sun watching tennis, and lots of layers to go from the warm days to the cool evenings.  I was happy to rock some bright colored sandals as a nice change of pace from boots, booties, and more boots.
