But First Fall

If you are an avid or even an occasional reader of this blog, you probably have realized by now that I am a devoted sale shopper.  I hardly ever buy anything at full price.  I am always looking for a good deal, whether on seasonal markdown items, during friends & family events, on Gilt, or at a sample sale.  Recently J. Crew has been having constant compelling sales.  There are a ton of great fall ready pieces on their sale site, and for the last few weeks all sale items have been at an additional markdown.  I recently bought a few sweaters and pants at an additional 40% off the sale price.  It reminds me of my J. Crew days and taking advantage of a generous employee discount!

Piñas + Vino

We headed up to Healdsburg this weekend.  It was beautiful, warm, sunny, and filled with good food and wine.  For a day in this endless summer weather, I wore a sundress from SF's own, Amour Vert.  It proved to be comfortable and cute, which was perfect for a daytime adventure to wine country!  Being a Maui girl, I am a sucker for anything pineapple or island inspired.  So I obviously couldn't resist this navy and pink pineapple print in such a great simple silhouette.  Happy Summer SF!

Nothing But Navy

Sometimes all you need is a little bit (or a lot) of navy.  It is such a classic and year round color.  Two piece sets are everywhere right now, in many shapes and sizes.  For me, it is best to keep a skirt and top set simple and classic, especially if it involves a crop top!  For this outfit, I figured I would finish it off the same way it started, with simple navy pumps.  This look also worked well for the current in between season in SF.  October is always a funny month, it feels like fall but the unusually hot weather makes it feel like the middle of summer.  I guess I follow a basic rule; when in doubt, pick something navy!
